This Privacy Policy explains how CentShield collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CentShield mobile app and the CentShield website at centshield.com.
1. What CentShield does
CentShield helps users assess suspicious texts, emails, and other messages by generating a risk score and showing likely scam signals. The core scan experience is designed to work locally on the device.
2. Information processed in the mobile app
The app stores recent scan history on the device so users can review previous checks. Message text entered for scam scoring is not intentionally transmitted to CentShield servers as part of the core scan flow.
- Scanned message content is stored locally on the device by default.
- Daily streak and local usage history are stored locally on the device.
- No account is required to use the core scoring flow.
3. Subscription and billing information
If you purchase a subscription, subscription processing is handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. CentShield may receive subscription status, product identifiers, anonymous app user identifiers, and purchase event metadata needed to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked.
CentShield does not receive your full payment card details from Apple or Google.
4. Information collected through the website
When you visit the website, CentShield or its hosting providers may collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate timestamps through standard server logs. This information is used to operate, secure, and maintain the website.
5. Support communications
If you contact CentShield by email, CentShield may keep your email address and the information you provide in order to respond, troubleshoot issues, and maintain support records.
6. How information is used

8. Data retention
Local scan history remains on the device until the user deletes the app or clears device data. Support emails and website logs may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
9. Security
CentShield uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also take care when sharing information through email or support channels.
10. Children
CentShield is not directed to children under 13, and CentShield does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app or website.
11. International use
If you use CentShield from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where service providers operate.
12. Your choices
- You can stop storing future local scan history by deleting app data or removing the app.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
